FISHING PACKAGES
Angling in one of the many abundant glacier-formed lakes in Nova Scotia. We use a 2023 18 ft Legend XTR Aluminum boat, powered by 115 Hp ProXS Mercury Marine Outboard.
*Nova Scotia Smallmouth Bass Experience
Smallmouth Bass was first introduced here in 1942 by the Government as a source of sportfishing. More than 200 lakes contain these invasive species.
Smallies can be found in many structured areas; rock outcroppings, logs, and weed beds, yet they prefer sandy bottoms for spawning. Mostly visual predators, they strike on; awkward movements, rattles, and vibrations. Bronzebacks can grow to a weight of approx. 6 lbs. Once the water temperature reaches 13C the action is on! Book your trip today!
*Nova Scotia Chain Pickerel Experience
Chain Pickerel (cousin of the Northern Pike) was introduced to Southern Nova Scotia in the 40s. More than approx. 40 lakes contain these invasive species now. Pickerel can be found in many structured areas; rock outcroppings, logs, and weed beds. Even shallow stagnant waters.
Mostly visual predators, they strike on; awkward movements, rattles, and vibrations. CP can grow to a weight of approx. 6.5 lbs. and length close to 30". Once the water warms up these swamp donkeys have an aggressive strike and a ferocious bite. Book your trip today!
*Nova Scotia Striped Bass Experience
The striped bass is native to the East Coast and migrates from freshwater to saltwater, swimming upriver each spring to spawn, and then back to to coastal areas to feed. Striped bass have stout bodies with seven to eight horizontal stripes on each side, from their gills to their forked tail.
They are light green, olive, steel blue, black, or brown on top, with a white or silver iridescent underside. They migrate most coastal waterways and inlets; including the Bay of Fundy/ Shubenacadie/ Stewiacke rivers, then emptying into beautiful Shubenacadie Grand Lake. This presents many angling opportunities to land these amazing predatory fish. When the water temp reaches approximately 13C. Cast, Fly, or Troll; your adventure awaits! Approximately mid-May to mid-June, is Catch and Release only.
*Nova Scotia "Panfish" Experience
"Panfish" is a term for the group of fish that are suitable for frying whole in a pan. Nova Scotia has a plentiful pan-fish population. Species include White Perch and Yellow Perch. These species are great for young anglers as they tend to bite at all hours of the day, usually off of your traditional hook and nightcrawler. We can catch and release or catch and keep, whatever you choose.
