Nova Scotia Striped Bass Experience
The striped bass is native to the East Coast and migrates from freshwater to saltwater, swimming upriver each spring to spawn, then back to to coastal areas to feed. Striped bass have stout bodies with seven to eight horizontal stripes on each side, from their gills to their forked tail.
They are light green, olive, steel blue, black, or brown on top, with a white or silver iridescent underside.

They migrate most coastal waterways and inlets; including the Bay of Fundy/ Shubenacadie/ Stewiacke rivers, then emptying into beautiful Shubenacadie Grand Lake. This presents many angling opportunities to land these amazing predatory fish.

"Panfish" is a term for the group of fish that are suitable for frying whole in a pan. Nova Scotia has a plentiful pan fish population. Species include White Perch and Yellow Perch.

These species are great for young anglers as they tend to bite at all hours of the day, usually off of your traditional hook and nightcrawler. We can catch and release or catch and keep, whatever you choose.
